Reading a College Basketball Moneyline
Every college basketball moneyline shows two numbers — one with a minus sign (the favorite) and one with a plus sign (the underdog). A -150 line means you wager $150 to win $100 in profit. A +130 line means a $100 wager returns $130 in profit. The spread is irrelevant here; only the final score matters. Lines shift as money moves, so
a team that opens at -110 might be -135 by tip-off after heavy action. Checking the line at the time you place the bet is what locks in your price — not the opening number.
